The most complete southern circuit in 3 days: from the ancient holy city of Fez to the heart of the Sahara, the red gorges of Dadès and the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. You arrive in Marrakech with your soul full of desert.
In just 72 hours you'll discover the most spectacular highlights of southern Morocco, connecting the two imperial cities with the Sahara.
Departure from Morocco's oldest city, the cradle of its culture. Fez medina is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world's oldest university.
The Erg Chebbi dunes are the highest in Morocco (up to 160 m). Camel ride at sunset and a night at a VIP Berber camp under a sky packed with stars.
The Todra Gorges have rock walls 300 metres high. The Dadès Valley is dotted with golden kasbahs, palm trees and the famous "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs".
Morocco's most famous kasbah. Filming location for Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones. A mud-brick village that seems carved by time itself.
Waking before dawn to watch the sun paint the dunes orange and red. A moment no photograph can capture. The purest desert experience there is.
You arrive in Marrakech crossing the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2,260 m). The Red City will welcome you with its colours, scents and the magic of Jemaa el-Fna.
Private route from Fez to Marrakech. Every day is a different adventure.
Early departure from Fez. First stop in Ifrane, "Morocco's Little Switzerland": clean streets, alpine architecture and the famous Stone Lion. We continue through the cedar forest of Azrou, where Barbary macaques come down to greet travellers. Lunch in Midelt (the apple city) with views of the snow-capped Jbel Ayachi.
Arrival in Merzouga at sunset. Mount a camel 🐪 to cross the Erg Chebbi dunes to the VIP camp. 🍽️ Berber dinner included with music around the fire. Night under the Sahara stars in a luxury Berber tent.
An early rise is well worth it: the sunrise over the dunes is one of the most breathtaking spectacles in the world. The sky shifts from black to orange, red and gold as the sun climbs over the Sahara. After breakfast, a visit to Rissani (birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty) and the Berber market.
In the afternoon: the spectacular Todra Gorges, with red rock walls 300 metres high and the Todra River running between them. Lunch by the river. Arrival in the Dadès Valley, dotted with golden mud kasbahs and palm trees. 🍽️ Dinner included at the local hotel. Night in the heart of the Dadès Valley.
Departure along the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs", one of the most photogenic stretches in Morocco: palm trees, rivers and mud-brick fortresses around every bend. Stop in Ouarzazate, Africa's Hollywood (optional: visit the Atlas Film Studios where Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed).
Visit to Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage): Morocco's most photographed kasbah, with its golden mud towers on a hilltop above the river. Lunch in Ouarzazate. Then we cross the legendary Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2,260 m) with spectacular views of the High Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

"We did the Fez to Marrakech tour in 3 days and it was spectacular. The night in the desert under the stars was the most mind-blowing thing we've ever experienced. Our guide Youssef was brilliant — perfect English. 100% recommended."
"There were two of us and the price for 2 people was very reasonable. The route is perfect: Ifrane with its monkeys, then the desert, the Todra Gorges and Ait Ben Haddou. All in 3 days without missing anything important. We'll be back!"
"I travelled solo and was paired with another solo traveller. The 4x4 was very comfortable, the driver spoke excellent English and was incredibly attentive. The Merzouga camp was genuinely luxurious: hot shower, a real bed, an incredible dinner."
