Afternoon: drive into the Rif mountains. Arrival in Chefchaouen at sunset — Morocco's most blue and photogenic city. First impression entering the medina: a maze of streets, staircases and corners painted indigo blue. Night at a riad in Chefchaouen.
Free morning in Chefchaouen to wander its blue alleyways before the day-trippers arrive — the best light for photography is in the early hours. Visit to Uta el-Hammam Square and the Ras el-Maa waterfall. Lunch in the medina.
Afternoon: 3-hour drive to Fez, Morocco's oldest and most historic city. Arrival in the afternoon. First stroll around the surroundings of Bab Bou Jeloud, the blue gate leading into the medina. Night at a riad inside the Fez medina.
Early morning in Fez: guided express visit to the famous Chouara Tanneries (Morocco's most photographed spot), the Bou Inania Madrasa and the spice and craft souks. Drive south via Ifrane (Morocco's 'Switzerland') with its cedar forest and the Barbary macaques of Azrou.
Arrival in Merzouga at sunset. Camel ride 🐪 across the Erg Chebbi dunes to the VIP camp in the heart of the Sahara. 🍽️ Berber dinner included with Gnawa music around the fire beneath a sky full of stars. Night in a luxury desert tent.
Rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes — one of the most breathtaking spectacles on the planet. The sky shifts from black to orange and gold as the sun rises over the Sahara. Breakfast at camp. Visit to the Merzouga oasis and the Rissani market.
Afternoon: the stunning Todra Gorges, with 300-metre walls of red rock carved by the river. Arrival in the Dadès Valley, dotted with golden mud kasbahs. 🍽️ Dinner included at a local hotel. Night in the Dadès Valley.
Ride along the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs", one of the most photogenic stretches in the whole country. Stop in Ouarzazate to see the famous Atlas Film Studios (optional), where Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones were filmed. Lunch in Ouarzazate.
Visit to Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO Heritage): Morocco's most famous clay kasbah. Cross of the legendary Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) with panoramic views over the High Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Night at a riad in the medina.
Last day dedicated entirely to Marrakech. Full guided tour of the most iconic landmarks: Majorelle Garden (Yves Saint Laurent's blue garden), the majestic Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the labyrinthine souks of spices, leather and crafts, and the incomparable Jemaa el-Fna square — UNESCO Intangible Heritage — with its storytellers, musicians and orange juice stalls.
