Welcome to Casablanca — The White City 🏙️

Pick-up at Mohammed V Airport or at your hotel. Casablanca is Morocco's economic capital and most modern city. Visit to the imposing Hassan II Mosque, the third-largest in the world and one of the few mosques in Africa open to non-Muslims — built partially over the Atlantic Ocean, its 210-metre minaret is the tallest in the world. Walk along the Atlantic Corniche. Free afternoon in the modern city centre. Night at hotel in Casablanca.

Morning in Blue, Afternoon in the Ancient City 🕌

Free morning in Chefchaouen to wander its blue alleyways before the day-trippers arrive — the best light for photography is in the early hours. Visit to Uta el-Hammam Square and the Ras el-Maa waterfall. Lunch in the medina.

Afternoon: 3-hour drive to Fez, Morocco's oldest and most historic city. Arrival in the afternoon. First stroll around the surroundings of Bab Bou Jeloud, the blue gate leading into the medina. Night at a riad inside the Fez medina.

Early morning in Fez: guided express visit to the famous Chouara Tanneries (Morocco's most photographed spot), the Bou Inania Madrasa and the spice and craft souks. Drive south via Ifrane (Morocco's 'Switzerland') with its cedar forest and the Barbary macaques of Azrou.

Sunrise over the Sahara and the Red Gorges 🏔️

Rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes — one of the most breathtaking spectacles on the planet. The sky shifts from black to orange and gold as the sun rises over the Sahara. Breakfast at camp. Visit to the Merzouga oasis and the Rissani market.

Ride along the "Route of a Thousand Kasbahs", one of the most photogenic stretches in the whole country. Stop in Ouarzazate to see the famous Atlas Film Studios (optional), where Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones were filmed. Lunch in Ouarzazate.

Visit to Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO Heritage): Morocco's most famous clay kasbah. Cross of the legendary Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) with panoramic views over the High Atlas. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Night at a riad in the medina.

Last day dedicated entirely to Marrakech. How many dinners are included?
2 dinners included: the Berber dinner at the desert camp in Merzouga (Day 4) and dinner at the hotel in the Dadès Valley (Day 5). Other meals (lunches and dinners) are at your own expense, though there are excellent restaurants at every stop.
Is the tour suitable for older travellers?
Yes. The circuit runs at a relaxed pace with comfortable stops. The camel ride can be substituted with a 4x4 dune ride if preferred. All accommodation has modern amenities. Just let us know when booking.
