Early departure from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m) with panoramic views. Arrival at Ait Ben Haddou — the world's most famous kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage Site, iconic filming location of Game of Thrones, Gladiator and dozens of Hollywood productions. Afternoon in Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of the Desert": film studios, Taourirt Kasbah and palm grove. Dinner and first night at hotel.
🌙 Night in hotel — Ouarzazate / Ait Ben Haddou
After breakfast, tour through the Skoura palm grove with its kasbahs hidden among date palms. Continue along the legendary Route of a Thousand Kasbahs: Kalaat M'Gouna (city of roses), Boumalne Dadès and the astonishing Dadès Gorge with its human-finger-shaped rock formations. Accommodation at a hotel with terrace overlooking the canyon. Berber dinner included.
🌙 Night in hotel — Dadès Valley
Morning at the Todra Gorge (300-metre walls, barely 10 metres wide at the narrowest point). Through Tinghir and Erfoud, the fossil city, to arrive at Merzouga facing the enormous Erg Chebbi dunes. At sunset, camel ride to the luxury desert camp. Berber dinner under a star-filled sky with Gnawa music.
🌙 Night in luxury camp — Merzouga desert
We wake before dawn to climb the dunes and witness the Sahara sunrise — the most memorable moment of the trip. Breakfast in the camp. Visit to Rissani, ancient capital of the Alaoui dynasty and authentic Berber market. Return via the Dadès Gorge to Ouarzazate in the afternoon.
🌙 Night in hotel — Ouarzazate

What Our Travellers Say
"The 5-day Southern Circuit was simply perfect. The Todra Gorge left me breathless and the Sahara sunrise was the most magical experience of my life. Youssef, our guide, was exceptional — he speaks perfect English and knows every corner of the south. The hotels and luxury camp exceeded all expectations."
"We travelled as a family with two children aged 8 and 11 — a dream trip. The kids were fascinated by the camels, dunes and souks. Private transport was key to adapting timings to our pace. Ait Ben Haddou was our favourite stop. We will definitely return."
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I customise the itinerary?
Of course. This is our standard itinerary, but we adapt the pace, departure times, accommodation type and additional activities. If you want to add a hot-air balloon flight in Marrakech at the start or extend the tour, we're happy to arrange it.
Is the tour private or shared?
100% private. Only your group in the vehicle. You will never share transport with unknown tourists. The price includes the vehicle and guide exclusively for you and your group.
Is it suitable for children or elderly travellers?
Yes. This circuit is suitable for all ages. We adapt the pace to the group. Children particularly enjoy the desert camp and camels. For those with limited mobility, we can adjust physical activities.
When is the best time for this tour?
The best time is October to April. We avoid July and August due to extreme heat in the desert (45–50 °C). Spring (March–May) is ideal: flowers, perfect temperatures and fewer crowds.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance. In high season (March–May and September–November), 3–4 weeks ahead is ideal. We also handle tours with just a few days' notice if availability allows.
