We arrive in Essaouira around 11:30 AM and head back around 5:30–6:00 PM. That is approximately 5–6 hours in the city — more than enough to see the medina, the harbour, the ramparts and enjoy a relaxed lunch.
Essaouira is known as the "City of Wind" (Atlantic Alizé) and is usually cooler than Marrakech, especially in winter. We recommend bringing a light jacket even in summer. Spring and autumn offer perfect weather.
